Bob & Michael’s Place at 32/54 West Hastings

This innovative project now named Bob & Michael’s Place in the downtown eastside is the largest of its kind in Vancouver and has a total of 231 welfare/pension and HILs homes including accessible units along with a 55,000 square foot integrated health centre run by Vancouver Coastal Health.

The project (10 years in the making) brings together Vancouver Chinatown Foundation in partnership with the City of Vancouver, BC Housing and Canada Mortgage & Housing Corporation to fund this 10-storey building.

Westbourne Projects Ltd. was retained to manage the successful completion of this multifaceted building. Our services included project management, leasing coordination, furniture procurement, show suite staging and more. We are extremely proud to be part of this premier example of how a unique partnership of all levels of government with a charitable foundation and their donors/supporters can create a true example of community social housing in Vancouver.
